Ravens Shatter Hopes and Dreams of Cleveland Browns

I’m sorry Cleveland Browns fans, but the Baltimore Ravens own yall asses!  LOL   In spite of  all the distractions with the Ray Rice scandal and the fact that the Browns were playing at home they still could not defeat the Baltimore Ravens!  The Ravens continue to dominate the Browns as the Ravens defeated them once again in their own house.  That right!  The Ravens went into hostile territory and came away with another victory.  Yes, the Ravens kicked the Browns asses in their own house!

Okay, I won’t brag too much because it was a close game, but we have the better field goal kicker.  We have Justin Tucker and the Browns have our exiled reject Billy Cundiff for a kicker.  This was the difference as Justin Tucker kicked the winning field goal for the Ravens.  Billy Cundiff on the other hand, missed a field goal for the Browns and also had a kick blocked.  That turned out to be the difference in this closely fought game.

The good news for Ravens fans is that we beat the Brown once again by a score of 23 to 21.  Rookie Running Back Lorenzo Taliaferro got his first start and took advantage of it by rushing for 91 yards and a TD. Steve Smith Sr. had 101 yards receiving in the game and is turning into our #1 clutch wide receiver. There was some bad news for the Ravens fans though as TE Dennis Pitta was injured and sidelined during the game.

There is nothing but bad news for Cleveland Browns fans. The Ravens shattered the hopes and dreams of the Cleveland Browns once again. This was an opportunity for the Browns to prove they belong in the AFC North but they still have to bow down to the Purple and Black bullies.

Go Ravens!!!

Will Ravens Dominance Continue Against the Browns?

The Baltimore Ravens have always dominated the Cleveland Browns since the team has been in existence. Joe Flacco usually has his some of his best games statistic wise versus the Cleveland Browns. The Ravens vs Browns game is very important because the Ravens already have one loss in the division and can’t afford another divisional loss this early in the season.

This will be the first game on the road for the Ravens so it will be interesting to see how they react to the hostile crowd in Cleveland. The Ravens looked very impressive against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday night but the Cleveland Browns look like they are much improved.

Ray Rice’s Public Apology

Ray Rice gave a public apology for his behavior regarding the domestic violence incident between he and his wife. The incident led to Ray Rice getting suspended for the first 2 games of the season. Here is a video clip of the Ray Rice apology.

Hopefully Ray Rice has learned his lesson from the incident. He says he and his wife both plan to speak out against domestic violence in the future.

Can Bernard Pierce Hold Down the Fort?

Bernard Pierce will most likely be the starting running back for the Baltimore Ravens in the first 2 games of the season due to the Ray Rice suspension. This will give Bernard Pierce a chance to shine in the first 2 games and show us if he has what it takes to be a starter. Both Ray Rice and Bernard Pierce are coming off of disappointing performances last season and were both plagued by injuries.

Bernard showed promise in his rookie season when he averaged 4.9 yards per carry. The running game was horrible last season and the Baltimore Ravens will rely heavily on Bernard Pierce in the first 2 games to get off to a good start.

The Ravens Pass Rush vs the Passer Aaron Rodgers

It will be the Baltimore Ravens pass rush versus the elite passer Aaron Rodgers today in Baltimore. The rain will hopefully slow down the offense of the Green Bay Packers. Terrell Suggs has been a beast so far this year and hopefully he’ll be able to get his hands on Aaron Rodgers. Joe Flacco tends to play much better at home and hopefully he’ll be able to do just enough to help the Ravens get the victory. I’m picking the Ravens to win at home in a very close game.

Go Ravens!!!

Ray Lewis May Haven Been Right About Ravens

Ray Lewis may have been right about the Ravens lack of leadership. Ray Lewis made headlines for this comment after the Jacoby Jones incident. Several Ravens players were offended by the comment , but Ray Lewis was probably right. I mean the way the Ravens played last week against the Buffalo Bills showed lack of leadership. The offensive line played horrible. Wide receivers were dropping passes. Joe Flacco threw the ball 50 times with 5 interceptions. The Baltimore Ravens completely abandoned the running which we all know usually results in a loss. The Ravens have yet to win a game on the road and all this points to lack of leadership.

I mean how can you replace a leader like Ray Lewis? If you don’t know what kind of leadership Ray Lewis brought when he was here then check out the following video:

Superbowl Champion Ravens Go on Road to Face Buffalo Bills

The Baltimore Ravens defense is starting to come together and has not given up a touchdown since the week 1 loss to the Denver Broncos. The Ravens vs Bills game will give Joe Flacco an opportunity to see if the offense can move the ball on the road. Due to the mass exit of several key players and several injuries, the Ravens haven’t gotten much respect this year. If the Ravens win today, they will remain at the top of the AFC North division.

The Buffalo Bills will have the home field advantage, but I don’t think it will be enough to stop the pass rush of the Superbowl Champion Ravens. I expect the Ravens to get their first road win of the season today. Go Ravens!!!

Can Ravens Blame it on the Altitude?

Can the Baltimore Ravens blame their blowout loss on the high altitude3 of the Denver Broncos stadium. I mean the game should have been played at home as is the tradition of giving the Superbowl Champs a home game for the NFL season opener. Not only did the Ravens have to go on the road, but they had to go on the road in a hostile environment to play a good football team with one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time. Don’t get me wrong though because the Ravens did nget their asses whipped.

The Baltimore Ravens made several bonehead mistakes throughout the Ravens vs Broncos game last night. I mean the guy who ran into Jacoby Jones during the return causing Jacoby Jones to get injured should be cut. I mean a challenge flag should have been thrown on a bad referee call when the replay showed that the pass was dropped. This resulted in a touchdown drive for the Denver Broncos. Dallas Clark dropped a key touchdown pass and our defensive secondary got burned left and right giving up 7 TD passes to Peyton Manning.

The only real bright spots for the Ravens was that Terrell Suggs and Elvis Dumervil both recorded sacks on Peyton Manning, but overall the defense was not very impressive to say the least. Michael Huff did not show me much other than the fact that he can miss key tackles. Another bright side is that Denver beat us bad last year too in the regular season but the Ravens came back and beat them when it really counts and that is in the playoffs!
